Great Lake Fishing Guides

December 29, 2004 -- Recent cold temperatures have caused ice to form in several areas. We have no reports indicating the thickness or safety of the ice. Use caution if you venture out.

Some ice has formed in the following areas:
             ** Southern portion of Green Bay (Wisconsin)
             ** Northern portion of Bay DeNoc
             ** Near DeTour (Michigan)
             ** Saginaw Bay (Michigan)
             ** Lake St. Clair (Michigan and Ontario)
             ** Western Lake Erie (Michigan, Ohio and Ontario)
             ** Along the North Channel (Ontario)
             ** Along the north west shore of Lake Superior (Ontario)
             ** Western Lake Superior around the Islands (Wisconsin)
             ** Many bays and harbors (All Great Lakes areas)
             ** Many inland lakes and ponds

Warmer temperatures over the next few days may have a negative effect on the ice especially in the lower lake areas.
